When making your reservation, ask the Captain about purchasing fishing licenses. This is required to keep a log of everyone out on the water & to be sure you are properly licensed. All passengers over the age of 12, whether they plan to fish or not, must have a valid fishing license.
The Port Captain is responsible for making sure you are not placed in a dangerous situation. If they feel it is unsafe, they will shut down the port & no fishing charters are allowed to leave the port. This happens very rarely but we will do our best to reschedule you during your stay in Cabo or we will refund 100% of anything you paid for your fishing trip. The good news is that there are only about 5 days per year that we are unable to fish.
You may choose to bring a boxed lunch (available from most hotels & convenience stores) or you can request that the Captain take you to the fuel dock where you can get sandwiches, snacks & drinks. La Patrona has a large cooler & ice on board.
Live bait is purchased from Bait Pangas. It is caught daily by locals & sold to all boats.
